A mindful use of ingredients

For the Love of Food

“I started loving food at the feet of my mother. She was a great cook. My earliest memory is standing on a chair learning how to make her gravy. I was often told off in my house for using my finger to clean my plate! And really this is what I am all about. I love to eat good food. I love discovering and playing with recipes to create dishes with sublime flavours.”

Private Parties

Lu's triumphant party menus are always accompanied with inspirational salads and tasty salsas, pickles and home-made sauces.

A bold-flavoured Mediterranean meze is one of Lu’s signature starters, featuring small dishes such as a traditional baba ghanoush and wild garlic pesto. Follow this with an aromatic prawn curry topped with spicy oriental leaves, pea shoots and toasted cashews.

Lu is passionate about using her wide range of compostable Vegware or Indian Tiffins for picnics to create an alternative food experience.

Weddings

Lu always works closely with each couple on a wedding menu to make each celebration very much an individual, special day.

Fabulous, seasonal menus working with locally grown Irish ingredients are capable of surprising all of your guests. Lu is well-known for her Food Table, an interpretation of buffet presentation, but also caters for more traditional, formal dining celebrations.

*INDIAN SNACKS!

After years of travelling in India, Lu’s own cooking is now an amalgam of different ethnic influences.

To pay homage to the wonderfully fragrant, colourful and glorious flavours of Indian street food, Lu has a pop-up Indian street food cart to wheel in her own chaat delicacies to celebrations and festivals.

Expect Pani Puri spice bombs, a cooling Indian salad or crispy bhel puri chaat to give a spicy, sweet and savoury experience.

“I love a crisp combination: raw fennel and beetroot, mint - and pomegranate for it’s vibrancy. I’m always looking for a sharp taste sensation.”
